YAM Sargent Art Contest

In recent years, our Youth Art Month show has included a contest by Sargent Art. Students of KAEA members are eligible for the contest. Elementary, Middle, and High School categories are judged and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners are selected. A Grand Prize winner is selected from the pool of 1st place entries to win a very generous trip to New York along with a parent and their Art teacher.
This year's Grand Prize winner is Sky Johnson, a senior at Prairie View High School in LaCygne, KS. Sky's Art teacher is Joe Simmons. Sky hasn't yet decided on a post-secondary institution, but he plans to pursue Sculpture as his major. Congratulations, Sky!
