KAEA Regional Drive Ins


KAEA Regional groups are participating in a "Drive In" this spring. 

     Each region has planned a one-day event to connect the Art Teachers in their area and those willing to 'Drive In' to the event.  

Check out your Region's event and all of those around the state.
*Membership is not required to attend a Drive In, though we would love to have you! Visit www.KAEA.com for membership information.

Morning:  Southwest Pueblo Pottery (hands on and informational), New Ideas for Painting.
Afternoon will feature speaker Joyce Huser from Kansas State Department of Education speaking on Common Core and the new National Art Standards due out anytime.  
Time for collaboration on Common Core Lessons and strategies will follow the presentation.
Bring ideas, successful lessons and examples of student work, your Camera.

Possible Demonstrations of Potters wheel, watercolor, acrylic, collage, pastel, sewing and Jewelry.
There will be a meeting following at the Grant County Library (2 blocks east of the gallery).  
Discussions about CTE Pathways, Common Core,  Lesson Plans and any other topics teachers are interested in.
Other attractions in Ulysses are a Spring Fling at the Grant County civic Center on Freday, Saturday and Sunday.  Business booths, Community Performers and numersous stores on Main Street.
